Montérégie, Quebec136 works

Saint-Hyacinthe grew along the banks of the Yamaska River, some sixty kilometres east of Montreal. It is known as Quebec’s agri-food technopole; it is recognised, above all, by rue des Cascades, its public market, its cathedral and the brick rooftops running down to the river.

It is a downtown that has kept its scale — a few streets, a square, façades from the last century — and it is that scale which turns up on the canvas.
