The VIEUX MARCHÉ (1830), located at 1555 rue Des Cascades, Saint-Hyacinthe, hosts a flower market every spring. It is also the site of the Art Market, every Saturday of the summer from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., where I find myself in the company of fellow women painters and craftswomen and paint on site while socializing with the market gardeners and the customers of the Market.
Already since the summer of 2011, every Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., during the Art Market, about twenty artists and craftspeople from the region invite you to meet them at the Public Market of Saint-Hyacinthe, located at 1555 rue Des Cascades, one of the oldest markets in Québec, built in 1830. You can always count on a great atmosphere every Saturday with the market gardeners, the artists and the music outside.
A European-Style Market...!!!
Take a little visit inside the market to discover the fine grocery stores, a cheese shop, fruits and vegetables, a sausage shop, a butcher shop, a fish shop, a bakery and a pastry shop.
