Centre bancaire CIBC, 1605 Girouard

Business centre at the corner of rues St-Denis and Girouard, Saint-Hyacinthe P.Q. Canada, formerly the banque des cantons de l’est, a building that was replaced in 1966 by the CIBC.

This was the bank for my law office when I practised my profession in the Édifice de La Survivance located at 1555 rue Girouard Ouest, corner of rue Saint-Denis, today Humania, suite 100, from February 1971 to June 1978, after having done my Bar articling there with the lawyers Deslandes & Déry in June 1969.

It was at this bank that I took out my first bank loan to buy my 1969 Oldsmobile... blue and white with white leather bucket seats... and a rear defroster... a novelty at the time. Ym
