This Catholic church was built between 1792 and 1796 and is located at 636 chemin des Patriotes, Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu.
It has a Casavant Frères organ, installed in 1926, opus 1144, and stained glass windows made in 1923 by the firm J.P. O’Shea & Cie de Montréal... For more details, see the hyperlink below.
See my paintings numbers 0058 and 0083 which I also made of this church, which has always inspired me with its shapes that cast magnificent shadows.
This painting 0179 was used to decorate the souvenir menu of our wedding reception, which was placed on each of our guests’ plates.
I made this painting on the occasion of my wedding at this church of Saint-Denis sur Richelieu, on June 2, 2012, which is the church of the village parish where my wife Micheline lived for more than forty years.
Painting given to the parish fabrique of Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu for a raffle during its benefit show
on Sunday, April 28, 2024 with the guest artists Christian Marc Gendron and Manon Séguin.
